I have a set of L100t’s and the foam around the woofers has disintegrated. Is there a more durable replacement for the foam? Thank You.

It is very typical for the foam surround to dry rot. This dry rot also occurs on butyl rubber surround speakers. Depending on where you are in the world and the environmental exposure your speakers experience, you can expect this to happen every 5-20 years. You can change the cone to an accordion edge surround or an all paper surround but you will sacrifice low frequency response. The speaker cabinets were tuned for this type of speaker and surround so I say just repair them as needed. You can send them to us for us to refoam or recone or we sell do-it-yourself parts as well. Contact us at info@speakerex.com for more info.
